Welcome to AAU Karate West Virginia

AAU Karate is "Sports for all, forever" organization that hosts traditional karate competition for men, women, and children of all ages, ranks, and abilities.

The Amateur Athletic Union(AAU) has raised champions for more than a century. The AAU Sports programs provide athletes the opportunities to develop to their highest level of competition through a network of Local, National and International Sporting events. Through participation in AAU, we promote good sportsmanship that allows the athlete to achieve their dreams as athletes and as valued citizens of our community. Sports for all, forever.

AAU Coaches Requirements and Training

COACHES PROGRAM: AAU coaches play an important role in competitive karate, including knowledge of the competition rules, providing support during an athlete’s competitive performances (next to the tatami/ringside), and organizing athletes, teams, and families for competitions and trainings. Eligibility: (1) Technical Coach a black belt who is 16 years or older. (2) Administrative Coach anyone who knows the AAU Karate rules (underblack belt, junior, or parent)
